- Data Remix -

Remix data is all about collecting data and processing it to create a visual representation.The idea of data remix is that you can collect a variety of data and remix it to produce something educational or to relay information.

The Workshop was to work in group of 6,we then went to kenton highroad and had to take 50 steps in a direction and then collect data from that area.
Within our group we split the collection process between us. we focsed on
-signs
-cars
-sounds
-photos
-buildings
-people
-colors

The second exercise was to work as a group and make a visual representative of our findings. As a group we worked well but when it came to visualizing data we found it hard to narrow down the finding we had. We ended up making a large display with loads of different elements.
The photo created a 360 of where we was, john made a graph to show the colour found in the street. sanam created a bar chart out of post stick note to show the time the tragic light where flashing yellow ,ben and liam made a string diagram showing how many and what shops where on the street.

I love the idea of data gathering and creating a visual display,however as a group we where overwhelmed by data and coundnt decide on a area to focus on otherwise i believe we could have created a really interesting design.
